George Gruhn is one of the world’s foremost authorities on vintage fretted instruments. As the proprietor of Gruhn Guitars Inc. in Nashville (est. 1970), he has built an international reputation among collectors and players. In addition to his role as a dealer of vintage, used and new instruments, he has written hundreds of articles for guitar publications such as Guitar Player and Frets, and is currently a columnist for Vintage Guitar Magazine. He has co-authored, with Walter Carter, books on fretted instruments (published by Hal Leonard) and has designed new guitars for various companies since 1980.
