Tim Alexander burned up the keyboard for the incomparable western swing band Asleep At The Wheel for twelve years. The band's hybrid blend of swing, boogie woogie and country blues has helped revitalize American roots music and has achieved an avid following and five Grammy Awards over the past 25 years. A talented multi-instrumentalist with a degree in classical music, Tim plays piano, organ, accordions, bajo sexto and sings. His Homespun video, “Tex-Mex Accordion” with Flaco Jiménez, is a thoroughly engaging introduction to Nortena music, and his Honky-Tonk Piano lesson captures the excitement of this powerful style.
