Our dear friend and popular Homespun instructor, Pete Huttlinger, passed away on January 15, 2016. We just got this announcement from  his widow, Erin, and wanted to pass it along to you:

The First Annual “For Pete’s Sake” benefitting The Pete Huttlinger Fund for Adult Congenital Cardiac Research at Vanderbilt University Medical Center featuring performances from  Lee Roy Parnell, Jack Pearson, Herb Pedersen, John Oates, Antsy McClain, Joe Robinson and Sean Della Croce and more TBA!

Pete Huttlinger was a world-renowned guitarist and composer. His wicked chops and huge sense of humor garnered him international audiences. Throughout his life and career, Huttlinger dealt with complications from a congenitally defective heart and on January 15, 2016 he passed away at the young age of 54.   Pete was admired by many of his peers and some of them will hit the stage on January 14 here at the City Winery.  Proceeds from the concert will benefit The Pete Huttlinger Fund for Adult Congenital Cardiac Research at Vanderbilt University Medical Center. Singer Lee Roy Parnell, bluegrass musician Herb Pedersen, pop icon John Oates, musician Jack Pearson, guitar virtuoso Joe Robinson and singer/songwriter Sean Della Croce are but a few of the performers that will be onstage honoring their good friend for the first of what will become a hot ticket annual event.
